Installation

Download the installer
Open the downloaded disk image, then drag DeskReview Local into the Applications folder.
Open DeskReview Local
Because this early build is not notarized, macOS may block the first launch. Control-click the app in Applications, choose Open, then confirm.
Download the AI model
DeskReview downloads an approximately 8 GB on-device AI model. This happens once, can take a while, and requires an internet connection.
Choose a manuscript
Open a research PDF and begin reviewing it locally.

This build supports Apple-silicon Macs only.
It is an early-access build and is not yet signed with an Apple Developer ID or notarized by Apple.
Use a Mac with at least 16 GB of unified memory; 24 GB or more is recommended for a smoother experience.
Keep at least 10 GB of storage free for the approximately 8 GB model download and working space.
Only install copies downloaded directly from this page.
